The lumber and wood production company continues to be hammered for cuting its dividend and and restating results for the first half of the year due to an accounting misstatement. The lawsuits are piling up too.
Seaworld Entertainment Inc. (NYSE: SEAS) posted a new 52-week low on Wednesday of $16.16. Based on Tuesday night’s closing price of $18.60 that’s a drop of more than 13%. The stock’s 52-week high is $35.30. Trading volume is more than 3-times the daily average of around 2.8 million shares. The company missed profit estimates this morning and recent public criticism over how the company treats its captive animals has had a negative impact as well.
Wayfair Inc. ) posted a drop of about 8.6% today to post a new post-IPO low of $21.62 against a 52-week high of $39.43 Volume is about equal to the daily average of about 1.5 million shares. The online seller of home goods went public in early October at $29 a share. Shares dropped nearly 16% on Tuesday after the company reported results Monday night that were light on revenues and issuing guidance that was below previous estimates.
