XRP or Dogecoin: Which Is More Likely to Be a Millionaire-Maker by 2030?
XRP and Dogecoin have both delivered life-changing gains for early believers, but the math behind turning either coin into a million-dollar payday by 2030 tells a sobering story about what each would actually require.

Investors hoping XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) or Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) will help them build a $1 million fortune by 2030 need either coin to climb far above its current price. XRP trades at $1.30, 64.4% below its record high of $3.65 set on July 17, 2025. Meanwhile, Dogecoin trades at $0.0769, down 89.5% from its May 7, 2021 peak of $0.73.
Unfortunately, both coins have struggled this year, with XRP falling 18.8% over the past month and 29.1% year to date. Dogecoin has decreased by 21.9% in the last month and 33.7% since the start of the year. Over the past year, XRP is down 49.8%, while Dogecoin is down 60.5%.
Despite these downturns, many retail investors still view both coins as potential millionaire-makers because early adopters saw substantial returns. Over the past decade, XRP has skyrocketed by 15,275.6%, and Dogecoin has surged by an astounding 35,764.3%. So, which coin is more likely to help turn an investment into a million dollars by 2030?
How Much XRP or Dogecoin You Need for $1 Million by 2030

The table below shows potential 2030 price targets for both coins and what investors would need to reach $1 million.
| Coin | Hypothetical 2030 Price | Coins Needed for $1 Million | Investment Required at October 25 Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| XRP | $1 | 1,000,000 | $1,300,000 |
| XRP | $3 | 333,333 | $433,333 |
| XRP | $10 | 100,000 | $130,000 |
| Dogecoin | $0.10 | 10,000,000 | $768,900 |
| Dogecoin | $0.25 | 4,000,000 | $307,560 |
| Dogecoin | $1 | 1,000,000 | $76,890 |
The last column shows how much money an investor would need to spend at today’s price to reach $1 million for each hypothetical target. At $1, investing $1.3 million in XRP would result in a loss. For bolder targets, like XRP at $10 or Dogecoin at $1, you’d need to invest $130,000 and $76,890, respectively. This means that for most investors, a million-dollar result from either coin seems unlikely.
What XRP at $10 and Dogecoin at $1 Would Be Worth

Market capitalization, calculated by multiplying a coin’s price by the number of coins in circulation, gives insight into these targets. XRP has a market cap of $82.3 billion and 63.4 billion circulating coins, making it the fifth-largest cryptocurrency. If XRP reached $10, its market cap would soar to over $633 billion. At $3, its value would still be significant at over $190 billion.
However, XRP also faces the possibility of dilution. Its total supply is capped at 100 billion coins, and nearly all of them already exist, though only 63.4 billion circulate. More coins entering circulation by 2030 could further complicate achieving a $10 price point.
Dogecoin, by contrast, has no supply cap, and new coins are generated with each mined block. Its market cap stands at $12.0 billion with 156.5 billion circulating coins, ranking it 12th.
At $0.25, Dogecoin’s market cap would exceed $39 billion, while $1 would push it past $156 billion. This means that to return to its all-time high, Dogecoin’s price must be sustained across a larger supply than what was in circulation during its peak.
XRP ETFs Have Drawn Far More Money Than Dogecoin ETFs

A spot ETF, or exchange-traded fund that directly holds the coin, can significantly boost a cryptocurrency’s popularity and value. U.S. spot XRP ETFs have garnered $1.80 billion in net inflows through October 23 and hold $1.48 billion in net assets. They recorded their biggest single-day inflow in weeks, $22.6 million, on September 25.
Despite this success, inflows have since slowed, with zero net inflows on October 23 and a $2.5 million outflow on October 16. Still, the case for holding XRP remains strong due to its utility in cross-border payments and the tokenization of assets like bonds.
In contrast, Dogecoin ETFs have lagged far behind, with only $15.1 million in cumulative net inflows reported through October 13 and only $14.4 million in net assets. These ETFs also saw outflows on October 12 and October 13.
DogeOS Aims to Bring Smart Contracts to Dogecoin

In October, DogeOS launched as a dedicated development company for the Dogecoin ecosystem, working alongside the MyDoge wallet and Such App under Dogecoin Labs, which was announced on October 21. DogeOS aims to bring smart contracts to Dogecoin, letting developers build applications centered on DOGE payments.
However, the initiative is still new and has not yet released usage statistics. Until developers actively engage with DogeOS, demand for Dogecoin will remain largely driven by its popularity as a meme coin.
Is XRP or Dogecoin More Likely to Create Millionaires by 2030?
We believe XRP has the upper hand over Dogecoin in the race to create millionaires by 2030, though a million-dollar outcome appears unlikely for the average holder of either coin. XRP must climb approximately 7.7 times to hit $10, while Dogecoin needs to soar roughly 13 times to reach $1. XRP also offers a capped supply and more than $1.8 billion in ETF inflows, compared with about $15 million for Dogecoin.
For XRP, breaking above $1.84, where it started the year, would be crucial, as it stands 41.5% higher than its current price. Dogecoin, meanwhile, needs to recover to $0.12, its starting price for the year, a 56.1% increase. If XRP surpasses $1.84 on rising ETF inflows, it could signal positive momentum going forward.
