Amphenol crushed Q2 estimates with a 13% EPS beat as its communications segment exploded 85% year-over-year, while the CommScope acquisition is proving so accretive that management raised full-year EPS contribution to $0.30 from $0.15. The connector giant's record $10.7 billion order book and 1.23:1 book-to-bill ratio signal the data-center supercycle is far from cooling.

Amphenol reported Q2 2026 earnings per share of $1.35, well ahead of the $1.19 consensus estimate and good for a 13% beat. Revenue came in at $8.76 billion, topping estimates of $8.32 billion by more than 5%. The outperformance was driven in large part by the communications segment, which grew 85% year-over-year — a figure that reflects just how aggressively hyperscalers and data-center operators are spending on connectivity infrastructure.

The CommScope acquisition is adding measurably to the bottom line. Management raised its full-year EPS contribution from that deal to $0.30, doubling the prior guidance of $0.15, a sign that integration is running ahead of schedule and that the acquired business is generating better-than-expected returns. That kind of in-year guidance revision on an acquisition is relatively rare and suggests Amphenol had visibility into the uplift before the quarter closed.

Perhaps the most forward-looking data point in the report is the order book. Amphenol ended the quarter with a record $10.7 billion in orders and a book-to-bill ratio of 1.23-to-1, meaning new orders are arriving meaningfully faster than the company can ship them. That ratio, combined with eight consecutive quarters of EPS beats stretching back to Q3 2024, reinforces the case that demand from the data-center buildout has not yet peaked.
