Organic sales in October were running approximately 10% higher year over year, and the company raised its full-year EPS guidance to $11.70 to $12.20 from the prior range. The lift reflects a lower diluted share count after treasury share repurchases during the quarter.
Pre-tax LIFO expense of $5.6 million, equal to $0.12 per share after tax, grew from the year-ago period and is worth monitoring as inflationary pressures persist. Full-year sales growth and EBITDA margin guidance were both reiterated, and guidance assumes no contribution from future acquisitions or additional buybacks.
