Arch Capital Group reported adjusted earnings per share of $2.67 for Q3 2026, exceeding expectations for a fourth straight quarter.
The beat came despite catastrophe losses tied to the Iran conflict, which contributed $234 million in pre-tax losses across the insurance and reinsurance segments.
Net investment income rose to $451 million from $408 million a year earlier, a counterweight as underwriting conditions grow more uneven. CEO Nicolas Papadopoulo said the company is "operating in a transitioning market where conditions are increasingly uneven, but we are prepared and welcome the challenge."
