Artisan Partners posted adjusted earnings per share of $1.03 in Q3 2026, beating expectations, with revenue and operating income both higher year over year. The income statement looks healthy on its face.

Net client outflows totaled $10.6 billion in the quarter, driven by rebalancing from a single large client relationship and redemptions tied to the wind-down of the U.S. Value team. Ending AUM of $168.7 billion squeezes the base from which future management fees are earned.

Average AUM ran higher than the ending figure and helped prop up Q3 revenue, but that cushion will erode if outflows continue into Q4. Keep an eye on whether the large-client relationship stabilizes and whether additional team departures emerge, because those factors drove nearly all of the quarter's redemptions.

The credit team and EMsights Capital Group attracted approximately $1.1 billion in net inflows during the quarter, a counterweight to equity outflows. Year to date, the firm has raised $3.2 billion across credit and alternative strategies.

Management is progressing toward launching its first ETF share classes in Q4 2026 and developing an interval fund structure aimed at wealth clients, moves designed to diversify the platform beyond public equities. Grandview Property Partners also closed on anchor capital for its next flagship fund, and a variable quarterly dividend of $0.88 per share was declared on October 27.
