Axos Financial reported Q4 2026 earnings per share of $2.16, edging past the consensus estimate of roughly $2.16 by about 0.2%, and revenue of $379.8 million came in about 1.4% above the $374.4 million analysts had expected. The quarter extended a strong run for the company — Axos has beaten EPS estimates in six of the past eight quarters, with only Q3 2026 falling short when it posted $1.90 against a $2.13 estimate.

The headline story this quarter was the Jenius Bank acquisition, which added $2.3 billion in deposits and helped drive the top-line beat. Those gains were partially offset, however, by a $21 million legal accrual related to a FINRA matter and by pressure on net interest margins, which narrowed and limited how much of the deposit growth flowed through to the bottom line.

Investors will want to watch how management deploys the new Jenius deposit base in coming quarters and whether the FINRA accrual represents a one-time charge or signals further legal exposure. Net interest margin trajectory will also be a key metric, since further compression could weigh on earnings even if loan and deposit volumes continue to grow.
