Ball Corp reported Q2 2026 earnings per share of $1.03, topping the consensus estimate of roughly $0.99 by about 4.3%. Revenue came in at $3.997 billion, beating expectations of $3.685 billion by more than 8%. That revenue outperformance is the larger story, suggesting demand for aluminum packaging held up better than Wall Street had modeled.
The regional standout was South America, where comparable operating earnings surged to $82 million from $50 million in the same quarter a year ago. That swing was a key driver of the double beat — both earnings and revenue clearing the bar in the same quarter. Looking at Ball's recent track record, the company has now beaten EPS estimates in seven of the last eight reported quarters, with Q3 2025 being the lone miss-free quarter where it matched expectations exactly.
