Adjusted earnings of $2.37 per share beat consensus, the fourth consecutive quarter BNY has topped expectations. That streak is getting hard to dismiss as coincidence.
Fee revenue rose 12% year over year to $4.08 billion on new business wins, higher client activity, and elevated market values. Net interest income climbed as maturing securities were reinvested at higher yields, and expenses grew slower than revenue.
Growth ran across every segment, from Issuer Services and Asset Servicing to Treasury Services and securities lending. U.S. wealth platform net new assets reached $48 billion for the quarter, far above the year-ago level.
CEO Robin Vince cited a 39% pre-tax margin as evidence of what he called 'the resilience and durability' of the business model. Net income rose to $1.69 billion even after severance expense in the quarter.
BNY repurchased $937 million of common shares and lifted the quarterly dividend 19% year over year to $0.63 per share. The buybacks fall under a $10 billion authorization announced in April 2026.
Total AUM saw net outflows of $12 billion and the CET1 capital ratio slipped to 10.9% from 11.7% a year earlier. Set those against the fee momentum when sizing up what the beat streak is worth.
