Baxter International posted adjusted diluted earnings of $0.58 per share for the third quarter of 2026, beating expectations, with revenue also ahead of estimates and up from a year earlier.
Every business segment contributed to the beat, led by Medical Products and Therapies growth of 6%. International markets outpaced the United States.
Baxter completed a cash tender offer that retired $864 million in debt, a step the company described as accelerating deleveraging and protecting its investment-grade credit standing. Free cash flow stayed positive in the quarter.

The one headwind worth noting was taxes: the adjusted effective tax rate jumped to 18.3%, which management cited as the reason adjusted EPS fell year over year even as operating results improved. That matters for the quality of the earnings trajectory.
Guidance moved higher on both the top and bottom lines, with full-year reported sales growth now expected at 4% to 5% and the adjusted EPS floor raised. The outlook still assumes drags from the Kidney Care MSA and foreign exchange.
