BorgWarner reported Q2 2026 adjusted EPS of $1.42, clearing the $1.27 consensus estimate by roughly 11.5%. Revenue came in at $3.65 billion, about 1.9% above the $3.58 billion estimate. The quarter extends a consistent beat streak — the company has topped EPS expectations in each of the past eight reported quarters, with the margin of outperformance widening noticeably in the most recent two periods.

Despite organic sales slipping during the quarter, cost controls were enough to widen the adjusted operating margin, and an ongoing buyback program reduced the share count, both of which supported the stronger per-share result. The performance was not uniform across segments: PowerDrive Systems delivered organic growth, while Battery and Charging Systems saw a sharp decline, highlighting the uneven transition happening across BorgWarner's electrification portfolio.

Management responded to the results by lifting full-year adjusted EPS guidance to a range of $5.05 to $5.30. Investors will want to watch whether PowerDrive Systems can sustain its momentum and whether Battery and Charging Systems stabilizes in the back half of the year, as the balance between those two segments will largely determine whether the raised guidance proves conservative or optimistic.
