Cadence Design Systems posted adjusted non-GAAP earnings of $2.11 per share for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, beating the consensus estimate, with revenue also topping expectations. The quarter extended the company's streak of consensus EPS beats to five consecutive quarters.
Every product segment contributed to the momentum, led by System Design and Analysis at 30% growth. Management attributed the broad-based strength to deepening adoption among hyperscaler and memory customers who are racing to design increasingly complex AI chips.
The headline development was a third guidance raise in 2026, with Cadence now targeting approximately 21% year-over-year full-year revenue growth. Fourth-quarter guidance also calls for higher revenue and non-GAAP EPS, alongside further share repurchases in the quarter.

On the capital return front, the board authorized an additional $2.5 billion for the share repurchase program. Management said it expects to deploy more than half of full-year free cash flow toward repurchases, with operating cash flow for the quarter giving it ample firepower to follow through.
A key product launch rounded out the quarter: Cadence introduced Maestro, a portfolio of domain-specialized AI models built for chip and system design that it says delivers higher quality results and greater token efficiency than general-purpose foundation models. More than 100 active customer engagements are already underway for the company's AI Super Agents across digital, analog, custom, and system design workflows.
