Civeo Corp (CVEO) Q2 2026: Revenue Beat Can't Offset Deeper Loss
As seen on the 24/7 Wall St. homepage on July 30, 2026.
Civeo beat revenue by 5% but swung to a much steeper loss than expected, posting a 53% EPS miss as startup costs from a new Ontario contract and Australian occupancy softness overwhelmed top-line gains; the company is now raising capital via a $115 million convertible notes offering to fund North American infrastructure growth.

Civeo posted Q2 2026 revenue of $180 million, clearing the $170.9 million consensus estimate by about 5%, but the bottom line told a different story. The company reported an EPS loss of $0.23 against an expected loss of $0.15, a miss of roughly 53%, as startup costs tied to a new Ontario contract and softer occupancy in Australia more than wiped out the benefit of stronger sales.
The earnings miss continues a pattern of bottom-line pressure for Civeo. Looking back across recent quarters, the company has now missed EPS estimates in seven of the last eight periods, with losses frequently running well beyond what analysts had penciled in. The Q4 2024 result of negative $0.82 against an estimate of negative $0.15 stands out as the most severe example, but the recurring gap between reported and estimated figures suggests that cost surprises have been a persistent challenge.

To fund its North American infrastructure growth ambitions, Civeo is raising capital through a $115 million convertible notes offering. Investors will want to watch whether the new Ontario contract's startup costs normalize in coming quarters and whether Australian occupancy trends stabilize, as those two factors appear central to whether the revenue momentum can eventually translate into a narrower loss.
