Compugen reported Q2 2026 revenue of $2.6 million, more than doubling the consensus estimate of roughly $1.28 million — a beat of about 103%. The outperformance was driven by milestone payments from its Gilead partnership rather than product sales, which is a meaningful distinction: milestone-based revenue can be lumpy and does not necessarily signal accelerating commercial momentum. That lumpiness is visible in the trailing revenue chart, where Q4 2025 spiked to $67.3 million before falling back sharply.
On the bottom line, Compugen posted a loss of $0.07 per share against an estimated loss of $0.085, beating by about 18%. The stronger cash picture that comes with the Gilead payments has pushed the company's projected cash runway out to 2029, giving management more room to maneuver without an immediate need for dilutive financing.

The date that matters most on the calendar is now early 2027, when clinical data for COM701 — Compugen's lead pipeline asset — is expected. That readout is widely viewed as a make-or-break moment for the company's longer-term story, and the extended runway means investors will not be waiting under the pressure of an imminent funding cliff.
