Costco Q4 2026: $95.7B revenue, 9.4% comp sales growth
As seen on the 24/7 Wall St. homepage on September 24, 2026.
Comparable sales rose 9.4% and digital comps jumped 19.5%, a pace that looks nothing like the pullback Kroger just flagged. One catch for anyone doing the math on the earnings beat: $0.15 a share came from non-recurring IEEPA tariff refunds.

Costco's fiscal fourth quarter, covering the 16 weeks ended August 30, 2026, came in ahead of Wall Street on both the top and bottom lines. GAAP earnings per diluted share of $6.75 beat expectations, while total revenue of $95.72 billion also exceeded expectations and rose 11.1% year over year.
Of that $6.75 EPS, $0.15 came from non-recurring IEEPA tariff refunds received in the quarter, net of partial reinvestment into member value. Strip that out and the underlying beat is narrower, though the quarter's operational picture still holds up. The beat extends Costco's streak of topping Wall Street estimates to five consecutive quarters.
Comparable sales rose 9.4%, with comparable traffic up 3.3% and digitally-enabled comparable sales up 19.5%, aided in part by a nationwide expansion onto DoorDash. E-commerce site and app traffic climbed 30%, and executive memberships accounted for 75.6% of sales.

Membership fee income reached $1.85 billion, up 7.3%, as total cardholders grew to 150.4 million with a worldwide renewal rate of 89.8%. Renewal rates are the clearest leading indicator of whether Costco's value proposition is holding.
For the full fiscal year 2026, Costco reported $303.15 billion in revenue, up 10.1% year over year, and GAAP EPS of $20.76. Operating income rose 12.5% to $11.69 billion, and free cash flow expanded 19.8% to $9.39 billion, giving the company significant financial flexibility heading into FY2027, when it plans to open approximately 28 net new warehouses and bring the total count to roughly 967.
