CRISPR Therapeutics Q3 2026: CASGEVY Hits $99M Despite Double Miss
As seen on the 24/7 Wall St. homepage on November 2, 2026.
Behind the double miss, CASGEVY total sales reached $99 million, up 30% sequentially. Reported revenue only captures the collaboration slice, so the commercial ramp is real even as losses widen. Phase 1b CTX310 data lands at AHA on November 9.

CRISPR Therapeutics posted a Q3 2026 loss of $1.15 per share, missing expectations on both earnings and revenue because only the Vertex collaboration slice of CASGEVY sales is recognized as revenue, not total product sales.
CASGEVY generated $99 million in total sales during the quarter, up 30% sequentially, with twice as many patients treated in the first nine months of 2026 as in all of 2025. More than 750 patients have initiated treatment worldwide across 39 countries, including new clearances for children as young as two years old.
An $11.7 million acquired in-process R&D charge tied to a Sirius Therapeutics development milestone added further pressure to the bottom line. R&D expense climbed to $71.9 million from $58.9 million a year earlier as the pipeline expanded.

Phase 1b data for CTX310, a CRISPR-based cardiovascular therapy targeting severe hypertriglyceridemia, is set for a late-breaking oral presentation at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions on November 9. Phase 1a data showed a mean 79% reduction in ANGPTL3 sustained through one year at the highest dose, with no treatment-related serious adverse events. The FDA has granted CTX310 RMAT designation, a status that opens the door to priority review and accelerated approval.
On November 8 at ACR Convergence, the company will present Phase 1 data for zugo-cel in refractory systemic sclerosis. Enrollment is complete in the Phase 2 trial of CTX611, with an update expected in the second half of 2026. Commercial momentum and a dense readout schedule land in the same few weeks.
