Crown Holdings posted adjusted diluted EPS of $2.39 for the third quarter of 2026, missing nothing and topping the consensus estimate of $2.26. Revenue cleared forecasts and rose from the same period a year ago.

A more than 6% increase in global beverage can shipments drove both beats, led by double-digit volume growth in Asia. Lower restructuring charges helped lift operating income.

Management left full-year 2026 guidance intact at $8.35 to $8.45 in adjusted diluted EPS, with free cash flow of at least $950 million. Fourth-quarter adjusted diluted EPS is guided to $1.63 to $1.73.

Shares slipped immediately after the filing, and the earnings call on Tuesday at 9:00 AM ET will clarify the disconnect. Rising input cost pressures were cited as an ongoing headwind, so listen for management's tone on cost pass-throughs.

Crown broke ground on a new beverage can plant in Uttar Pradesh, India, with commercial start-up targeted for the first quarter of 2028, while expansion projects in Brazil, Greece, and Spain remain on plan. CEO Timothy Donahue noted that aluminum cans continue to gain share as the preferred format across beverage categories globally.
