Elanco Animal Health reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.27 for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, clearing the consensus estimate of $0.20 by roughly 33%. Revenue of $1.265 billion came in about 5% above expectations and grew 11.3% from the same quarter a year earlier, a pace well ahead of what analysts had modeled heading into the report.
The standout driver was Pet Health, which grew 14% and was fueled by two marquee products: Zenrelia, Elanco's JAK inhibitor for dogs, and Credelio Quattro, its broad-spectrum parasiticide. Both posted their largest revenue quarters on record, and both reached new market share highs in September. Credelio Quattro also became the largest U.S. Pet Health brand in the quarter, with its U.S. share up 9 points year over year.
Profitability improved meaningfully alongside the top-line beat. Adjusted gross margin expanded 300 basis points to 56.1%, driven by pricing strength, favorable product mix, and the company's Elanco Ascend productivity initiative. GAAP net income came in at $18 million, compared with a loss of $34 million in the year-ago period.

Management passed the entire earnings beat through to full-year guidance, lifting the adjusted EPS outlook to $1.17 to $1.20 from the prior range of $1.10 to $1.16. Full-year revenue guidance was raised to $5.155 billion to $5.18 billion, implying approximately 8% organic constant currency growth. The innovation revenue target was also lifted, to $1.275 billion.
The quarter marks four consecutive periods of topping consensus EPS estimates, a streak that stretches back to Q4 2024. Looking ahead, Elanco expects the EU launch of Credelio Quattro and the full launch of Befrena in Q1 2027, moves that extend the Pet Health segment's momentum into next year. Not everything was smooth: poultry revenue fell 7% and Seresto faced headwinds from U.S. retailer inventory drawdowns, areas worth monitoring in the Q4 earnings report.
