The next wave of chip capex is showing up in the materials supply chain: Advanced Purity Solutions revenue grew 17% year over year with segment margin widening to 30.3% from 24.1%. Guidance for next quarter calls for $905 million to $935 million in sales, above what Entegris just delivered.

Entegris reported second-quarter 2026 earnings per share of $0.93, clearing the $0.82 consensus estimate by about 13%. Revenue came in at $883.2 million, roughly 6% above the $835.5 million analysts had expected. The back-to-back acceleration — Q1 2026 EPS also beat by a wide margin after a stretch of quarters that mostly hugged estimates — suggests the company is gaining real operating leverage as chip-equipment spending picks up.

The clearest sign of that leverage is inside the Advanced Purity Solutions segment, where revenue grew 17% year over year and segment margin expanded sharply to 30.3% from 24.1% in the same period a year ago. That kind of margin widening on top of double-digit revenue growth points to fixed costs being spread over a meaningfully larger revenue base, which is precisely what investors in semiconductor-materials suppliers want to see when a new capex cycle takes hold.

Management's guidance for the next quarter calls for sales of $905 million to $935 million, a range that sits above what Entegris just delivered in Q2. Hitting even the low end of that band would represent continued sequential growth and would reinforce the narrative that chip-materials demand is in a durable upcycle rather than a one-quarter bounce.
