Equifax posted adjusted diluted EPS of $2.26 in Q3 2026, beating expectations, with revenue also coming in ahead of forecasts. The beat extended the company's run of topping analyst EPS estimates to four consecutive quarters.
U.S. Information Solutions led the quarter, with USIS mortgage revenue up 28% despite a softening mortgage market late in the period. CEO Mark Begor credited market share gains, suggesting Equifax is taking business from competitors even as overall origination activity slows.
Rising mortgage rates late in the quarter were enough to push management to trim the full-year 2026 revenue guidance midpoint to $6.661 billion. Yet the adjusted EPS midpoint for the full year was cut by only four cents to $8.50, a gap that management credits to AI-driven cost efficiencies that it says can largely offset the gross margin pressure from weaker mortgage volumes.
Q4 revenue guidance of $1.605 billion to $1.635 billion implies reported growth of 3.5% to 5.4%, a sharp deceleration from Q3's pace. Adjusted EPS for Q4 is guided to $2.07 to $2.17, and management expects the soft mortgage environment to persist through year-end.
Workforce Solutions contributed $693.9 million in revenue, with Verification Services and Talent Solutions both growing. Asia Pacific and Latin America revenue also grew, offering some diversification against the U.S. mortgage drag, and the pending acquisition of Círculo de Crédito is expected to close in Q4 2026.
