Ericsson distributes roughly $474 million to shareholders on the September 29 ex-date, putting real cash in investors' hands today.
Two smaller payouts, from Ituran Location and Control and BRP Inc., share the same September 29 ex-date.
For shareholders, the ex-date of September 29 is the critical cutoff. Investors who did not hold shares before that date are not eligible for any of these three distributions, regardless of when the actual payment hits their account.
Ericsson's payout dwarfs the other two on the board, which together amount to just over $16 million.
