Euronet Worldwide Misses Q3 2026 on Both Lines as Remittance Pressure Deepens
As seen on the 24/7 Wall St. homepage on October 27, 2026.
US immigration policy is still choking Euronet's remittance corridors: Cross-Border Payments operating income fell 37%, dragging results below consensus on both lines. Management cut the full-year outlook below the Investor Day targets set in May.

Euronet Worldwide missed expectations on both lines in the third quarter of 2026, with adjusted earnings per share of $3.55 against a consensus estimate of roughly $3.69, and revenue also missing expectations.
The damage was concentrated in the Money Transfer segment, where operating income fell 37% to $37.3 million. CEO Michael J. Brown attributed the weakness directly to U.S. immigration policy disrupting key remittance corridors, noting that the pressure has persisted longer than management anticipated. Growth in EFT Processing and epay did not compensate for the cross-border shortfall.
This quarter extends a pattern: a slim beat in Q3 2025, a miss in Q4 2025, another miss in Q2 2026, and now Q3 2026. Brown pointed to digital accelerators introduced at the May Investor Day, which represent 26% of revenues, as the longer-term answer to structural headwinds in traditional remittance flows.

The most consequential news is the guidance revision, with Euronet now targeting approximately $4.375 billion in full-year 2026 revenue. All three of its revenue, adjusted EBITDA and adjusted EPS targets fall below what management set just five months earlier at the May Investor Day, reflecting what Brown described as continued immigration-related pressure, broader global economic headwinds, and unfavorable foreign exchange conversion rates.
The company did return $50 million to shareholders through share repurchases during the quarter, and its cash position declined sharply from a year earlier. The combination of a guidance cut, a deteriorating cash position, and two consecutive meaningful misses leaves investors watching closely whether the stabilization signals management referenced in Cross-Border Payments translate into numbers next quarter.
