The megadeal wave is landing directly in Evercore's revenue line: advisory fees of $1.01 billion rose 14% year over year on mandates including PTC's sale to Schneider Electric, driving a double beat. The adjusted compensation ratio tightened to 63.0%, letting the upside drop through to margin.

Evercore's advisory business is compounding at a pace investors cannot ignore. GAAP advisory fees reached $1.01 billion in the third quarter, up 14% year over year on large mandates including PTC's sale to Schneider Electric and GE Aerospace's purchase of Consolidated Precision Products.

Adjusted diluted EPS of $4.28 came in well above expectations, with revenue of $1.17 billion also beating expectations. A beat of that size on both lines is rare for advisory-focused banks.

Profitability improved alongside the revenue gains, with the adjusted compensation ratio tightening to 63.0% so more of the revenue surge reached margin instead of pay costs.

Evercore kept building the platform behind that revenue, lifting its Investment Banking Senior Managing Director count to 191 and naming Nigel Dawn and Naveen Nataraj as Co-Presidents effective January 1, 2027. It also returned $1.00 billion to shareholders year to date and declared a quarterly dividend payable December 11.

The Q3 2026 result extends a pattern of consistent beats, with the lone recent miss in Q2 2026 when reported EPS of $2.91 came in missing expectations. The rebound this quarter shows how closely Evercore's earnings track the timing and size of deal closings.
