Revenue of $1.53 billion beat expectations, and adjusted earnings per share also came in above the consensus estimate, a steady clip for a property services company navigating an uneven macroeconomic backdrop.

The Brands division is the friction point in an otherwise clean quarter, with operating earnings there falling to $59.99 million as reduced roofing activity and the absence of prior-year favorable fair-value adjustments hit the segment. FirstService Residential delivered 5% organic growth, helped by new contract wins and expanded sited labor services.

On the GAAP side, diluted EPS came in at $0.99, below the prior-year period, reflecting higher amortization charges and a larger non-controlling interest redemption increment. Share repurchases in the quarter and year-to-date contributed to a meaningful rise in net debt and a 30% decline in shareholders' equity.

CEO Scott Patterson said the company was pleased with sequential improvement in organic top-line growth and cited strong execution from operating teams as the basis for confidence in full-year targets. Century Fire Protection continued its bolt-on acquisition cadence during the period, showing the Brands division's growth story extends well beyond the challenged roofing operations.
