Flutter Entertainment reported Q3 2026 revenue of $3.87 billion, missing expectations. Adjusted EPS came in at a loss of $0.18, missing expectations. The quarter marked a sharp reversal from the string of profitable periods in 2024 and 2025 that had built investor confidence in the FanDuel parent.
A September 25 provisional measure in Brazil banned online sports betting and iGaming in the country. That forced Flutter to shutter Betfair Brazil and consolidate its Brazilian presence to a single local brand, triggering an $873 million non-cash impairment charge. Brazil revenue fell 31% in the quarter even before the ban fully took hold, and the country's troubles drove the bulk of the bottom-line damage.
Two further headwinds compounded the pressure. A $105 million legal loss contingency tied to an Australian class action added to costs, and the UK remote gaming duty climbed 19 percentage points, squeezing International segment margins. Those regulatory shocks arrived alongside unfavorable sports results across International markets, with management estimating roughly $131 million in adverse revenue impact from sports outcomes alone.

In response, Flutter cut its full-year 2026 group revenue guidance by $300 million to a midpoint of $17.61 billion and trimmed adjusted EBITDA guidance by $160 million to a $2.50 billion midpoint. Share repurchases have been paused with the company carrying 4.6 times net debt leverage, and the stated goal is to bring that ratio back down to the 2.0 to 2.5 times target range before reinstating buybacks.
The US segment offered a relative bright spot, with revenue up 6% to $1.46 billion as sportsbook handle, player frequency and bet count all rose. FanDuel Predicts, the prediction-markets product, saw quarterly volume rise sequentially and again into October. New CEO Dan Taylor cited those trends as early but tangible evidence the US improvement plan is working.
Flutter plans to provide fuller strategy detail alongside its Q4 results in February. Until then, investors are weighing leading market positions across the US, UK, and Southern Europe against a leverage profile that limits financial flexibility and a regulatory environment that has already delivered two costly surprises in a single quarter.
