Genco Shipping & Trading reported Q3 2026 revenue of $151.9 million, beating the consensus estimate of $109.8 million and nearly doubling the $79.9 million it posted in Q3 2025. The result was powered by a sharply stronger drybulk freight market and a larger fleet, pushing fleet-wide average daily time charter equivalent rates to $27,539 from $15,959 a year earlier.

That rate surge translated directly to the bottom line. Net income swung to $38.0 million from a net loss of $1.05 million in Q3 2025, while adjusted EBITDA climbed 214% year over year to $68.1 million. The company's premium Capesize vessels were the standout performers, earning $36,980 per day compared with $21,380 per day in the prior-year period.

The board declared a quarterly dividend of $1.05 per share, which chief executive John C. Wobensmith described as a record for the company and a 600% increase over the Q3 2025 payout. It also marks a 31% step up from Q2 2026 and the 29th consecutive quarterly distribution, with payment scheduled for November 23 to shareholders of record as of November 16.

Genco's fleet growth underpins confidence in the forward outlook. The company took delivery of Genco Volunteer, a scrubber-fitted 182,000 dwt Capesize built in 2019, in August 2026, bringing total investment in Capesize and Newcastlemax vessels to $408 million since Q4 2023. The fleet now stands at 44 vessels, running at 98.2% utilization.

For Q4 2026, Genco has already fixed 66% of available fleet days at an estimated fleet-wide TCE of $30,102 per day, with Newcastlemax and Capesize vessels locked in at $40,187 per day. Management reiterated a projected Q4 dividend of greater than $1.00 per share, citing those firm fixtures and the current forward freight agreement curve as the basis for the guidance.
