H2O America reported Q2 2026 earnings per share of $0.72, edging past the consensus estimate of $0.70 by about 2.2%. The beat was driven by rate increases, a familiar lever for regulated water utilities. On the revenue side, however, the company came up short, posting $210.5 million against an estimate of $213.4 million — a miss of roughly 1.4%.

The quarter arrives at a pivotal moment for HTO. The company is in the late stages of closing a $540 million acquisition in Texas, a deal that will meaningfully expand its geographic footprint beyond its current service territory. Investors will be watching how quickly the company can integrate those assets and whether the new customer base supports further rate-base growth.

Amid the deal activity, H2O America extended one of the more durable dividend streaks in the utility sector, marking its 58th consecutive year of dividend increases. Looking at the recent EPS history, the company has beaten estimates in six of the last eight quarters, with the lone significant miss coming in Q4 2025, when it reported $0.46 against an estimate of $0.55.
