Credit quality broke the four-quarter streak of EPS beats: six loan relationships went to nonaccrual, pushing nonperforming assets to $53.7 million, or 1.49% of total assets. Management says it does not expect sizable losses from those loans, and the board still raised the dividend to $0.32 while naming Darren Guidry CEO effective January 2027.

Home Bancorp posted diluted Q3 2026 diluted EPS of $1.28, missing the consensus estimate and ending four straight quarters of beating earnings expectations. Revenue came in at $40.1 million against a $36.0 million estimate, so the shortfall did not come from the top line.

Credit quality drove the miss: six loan relationships totaling $19.5 million moved to nonaccrual status during the quarter, lifting nonperforming assets to 1.49% of total assets. Those transfers reversed roughly $862,000 in interest income and came alongside a net foreclosed asset expense charge and a provision for loan losses.

Management said it does not anticipate sizable losses from the newly nonaccrual relationships. Net interest income held essentially stable at $35.9 million as the margin slipped five basis points and noninterest income rose 7%. The efficiency ratio climbed to 65.6%, reflecting the elevated expense load.

The board raised the quarterly cash dividend to $0.32 per share, payable November 13 to shareholders of record November 2, signaling confidence in the capital position. Darren Guidry will succeed John W. Bordelon as CEO effective January 8, 2027. Bordelon, who called the role one of the great privileges of his career, expressed confidence in Guidry.
