Home Bancshares posted Q3 2026 earnings per share of $0.65, beating the consensus estimate, while revenue of $288.4 million missed expectations. Revenue still rose 3.1% from the same quarter a year ago.

The earnings beat came as merger costs tied to the Mountain Commerce Bancorp acquisition disappeared. Non-interest expense fell to $121.5 million from $135.5 million the prior quarter once those one-time charges rolled off, lifting the bottom line despite softer revenue.

Net interest margin edged up to 4.53% as deposit and borrowing costs eased. Net charge-offs dropped to $2.1 million from $5.8 million in Q2, and the bank recorded zero provision for credit losses in Q3.

Credit quality softened: non-performing loans climbed to 1.19% of total loans from 1.08% the prior quarter, with non-performing assets rising as well. Total loans and total deposits both fell quarter over quarter, trends worth monitoring as the Mountain Commerce integration continues.

Home Bancshares raised its quarterly dividend to $0.23, a $0.03 increase over Q3 2025, and repurchased 1.3 million shares during the quarter. The bank has beaten or met consensus in seven of the last eight quarters.
