Hubbell's Electrical Solutions segment carried the quarter, with sales surging 51% to $844.7 million as datacenter demand, content gains, and capacity expansion all fired at once. Adjusted operating margin in that segment expanded 400 basis points, and organic sales grew more than 20% before acquisitions added further lift.
Net sales of $1.87 billion rose 24.6% year over year, beating expectations, and adjusted diluted EPS of $5.91 also beat expectations, extending Hubbell's streak of consensus EPS beats to five consecutive quarters.
Utility Solutions contributed $1.03 billion in revenue, up 9%, led by distribution, transmission, and substation markets. The NSI Industries acquisition is tracking ahead of management's initial integration expectations, which matters because acquisitions contributed 13% to total sales growth in the quarter.

Management raised full-year 2026 adjusted diluted EPS guidance to a range of $20.40 to $20.60 and lifted the quarterly dividend 7% to $1.52 per share. CEO Gerben Bakker cited stronger anticipated Electrical Solutions growth as the primary driver of the raised guidance.
Grid Automation net sales declined roughly 4%, and the company flagged continued softness in heavy industrial and residential markets within Electrical Solutions. Net debt to total capital rose to 51% from 28% at year-end 2025, reflecting acquisition-related borrowing. Tariff uncertainty remains a risk for the rest of the year.
