Huntington Ingalls posted GAAP earnings per share of $5.48 for Q3 2026, exceeding expectations for the fifth consecutive quarter.
Revenue grew 10.8% year over year to $3.54 billion, with Newport News Shipbuilding carrying the quarter on higher submarine and aircraft carrier volumes.
New contract awards of $32.4 billion in the quarter now secure roughly 90% of expected shipbuilding revenue through 2030, a material shift in the risk profile for a defense name the market prices on procurement cycles. CEO Chris Kastner said the focus is squarely on shipbuilding execution.
