Low-earth-orbit airtime now makes up 58% of service revenue, pushing revenue past consensus. The GAAP loss missed expectations on non-cash inventory write-downs, but management raised the floor of full-year revenue guidance to $137 million and has a Starlink price increase landing December 1.

KVH Industries posted third-quarter 2026 revenue of $38.45 million, beating expectations and up 35.1% from a year earlier. The growth engine was low-earth-orbit connectivity: LEO airtime climbed to 58% of service revenue from 39% a year ago, as customers migrated away from traditional VSAT services toward faster satellite links.

KVH reported a GAAP loss of $0.03 per share, missing the consensus estimate, with non-cash inventory write-downs weighing on results. The GAAP net loss narrowed sharply to $601,000, and non-GAAP adjusted EBITDA turned positive, nearly triple the year-ago level.

Management tightened the full-year 2026 outlook and raised the revenue floor to a range of $137 million to $143 million, narrowing a prior range of $130 million to $145 million. Full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance was similarly tightened, reflecting confidence that operating leverage is beginning to come through as the service mix shifts toward higher-margin recurring revenue.

One near-term variable worth watching is a planned Starlink price increase effective December 1, 2026. KVH expects the repricing to lift service revenue but compress service gross margin, with no material change in service gross profit. CEO Brent C. Bruun framed the company's position this way: "Customers are choosing KVH as they move to LEO, and they increasingly rely on us for more than connectivity, from managed IT and cybersecurity to live crew content."

KVH also completed its $15 million share repurchase program during the quarter, buying back approximately 1.2 million shares. No new repurchase authorization is currently in place. The quarter also included the September launches of an expanded CommBox Edge Pro cybersecurity offering and Link Live, a live TV streaming service for maritime crews, extending the company's push to bundle value-added services alongside raw connectivity.
