Two years of funding discipline at this $267 million Ohio bank just showed up in the margin: net interest margin hit 3.92% on a tax-equivalent basis, 108 basis points above Q3 2024. Loan originations more than doubled, and a first-ever subordinated debt raise gives management room to push organic growth.

LCNB Corp posted Q3 2026 diluted EPS of $0.51, exceeding expectations, with revenue of $25 million also topping expectations. Net income rose 5.4% year over year to $7.31 million.

Net interest margin reached 3.92% on a tax-equivalent basis in Q3 2026, 108 basis points above Q3 2024 after two years of deliberate funding cost reduction. Lower rates paid on interest-bearing liabilities carried net interest income higher.

Loan originations more than doubled to $141 million from $67 million in Q3 2025, a sign that the balance sheet cleanup is now translating into front-line lending activity. LCNB also completed its first-ever $25 million subordinated debt offering during the quarter, adding capital that management says will support organic expansion across its Ohio markets. Fiduciary income for the first nine months of 2026 grew 12.7% year over year to $7.9 million, reflecting steady momentum in the Wealth Management business.

Not every line ran clean. Nonperforming loans doubled year over year to 0.24% of total loans, with net charge-offs and credit loss provisions both rising. Deposit growth, excluding one public funds relationship, was slightly negative.

LCNB missed estimates in both Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 before posting back-to-back beats in Q2 and Q3 2026. That pattern, with the subordinated debt raise and the sharpest margin in at least two years, suggests management believes the balance sheet restructuring is largely done and growth is next.
