Lightspeed Commerce reported Q1 2027 revenue of $322.7 million, topping the $310.6 million consensus estimate by roughly 3.9%. Earnings per share came in at $0.13, about 5% above the $0.1237 estimate. The results mark the company's strongest quarterly revenue in the nine periods shown in its trend data, edging past the previous high of $319.0 million set in Q2 2026.

The beat was driven by what management described as a turnaround strategy gaining traction, with organic growth in North American retail and European hospitality pushing revenue up 20% year over year. The company also added 1,300 customer locations during the quarter, a sign that its efforts to expand its merchant base are translating into real volume rather than just pricing gains.

Investors will want to watch whether the momentum in those two segments can hold through the back half of the fiscal year. Revenue has historically dipped in Q4 — it fell to $253.4 million in Q4 2025 and $286.8 million in Q4 2026 — so the key question heading into the next few quarters is whether the accelerating growth rate is durable enough to smooth that seasonal pattern.
