London gives back 33 points at the open while Frankfurt sheds twice as much, so Europe is setting a softer tone for US futures before Wall Street even wakes up.

The FTSE 100 opened about 0.2% lower, a modest pullback arriving alongside a broader European retreat that adds weight to the move.
The DAX is sliding nearly 0.5% at the open, roughly twice the percentage loss London is carrying, which points to growth concerns rather than a single market-specific headline.
