MetroCity Bankshares met the $0.84 per diluted share consensus for Q3 2026, but tax credit benefits compressed the effective tax rate well below the prior quarter. Without that one-time lift, the bottom line would have looked meaningfully different.

Revenue of $47.94 million came in missing expectations and fell from a year ago, driven by a drop in SBA loan sale volumes and weaker noninterest income broadly. Those areas had been reliable contributors in prior quarters.

Net interest income climbed to $43.56 million, with net interest margin expanding year-over-year, supported by loan and deposit growth that followed the First IC Corporation acquisition completed in Q4 2025. Average gross loans rose year-over-year, giving the bank a larger earning-asset base to work with.

The board raised the quarterly dividend to $0.31 per share, a move that stands out for income-oriented investors in a quarter where revenue disappointed. Keep an eye on whether SBA loan production translates into more consistent sale volumes and whether noninterest income recovers toward levels seen earlier in the year.
