NRC Health's third-quarter revenue of $38.4 million beat the Wall Street consensus and ended a flat stretch for the patient-experience software company, whose quarterly revenue had stalled well short of this level across the prior several quarters.
The two forces behind the jump were a large customer implementation that went live on schedule during the quarter and a wave of multi-year renewals from long-standing clients. Those renewals matter beyond the near-term revenue line because they underpin a recurring-revenue model that management has consistently pointed to as the engine of the business.

Total Recurring Contract Value, which the company treats as a leading indicator of revenue to be recognized in future periods, climbed 9% year-over-year to $154.1 million. Operating income and gross profit both grew, though adjusted EBITDA margin compressed as direct costs and selling expenses increased.
Adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.21, in line with estimates, leaving the quarter's story on the revenue side. CEO Trent Green said the expanding contract base will translate into operating leverage, greater profitability, and stronger free cash flow as those commitments convert to recognized revenue. The company also declared a quarterly cash dividend, payable in January 2027.
