2 trillion valuation with 4b of revenue?

Anthropic's prospectus sets $4.59B in 2025 revenue against an $8.06B operating loss at a roughly $2 trillion valuation. The number traders shouldn't skip: $518B in cloud, compute and infrastructure obligations, which is the bull case for the picks-and-shovels names.

Anthropic's S-1 pairs $4.59 billion in 2025 revenue with a roughly $2 trillion valuation, and the wallstreetbets thread caught the gap immediately. The top comment, from user exhibit304, said everything in seven words: '2 trillion valuation with 4b of revenue?'

Revenue grew 1,088% year over year, so the growth engine is real even if the economics are not yet. Operating losses widened to $8.06 billion over the same period.

The number in the prospectus that matters most for the names adjacent to this IPO is $518 billion in cloud, compute, and infrastructure obligations. That contractual spending pipeline flows directly to the cloud platforms, chip suppliers, and data center infrastructure providers already named across the filing.

The two largest direct customers each accounted for 12% of 2025 revenue, so just two buyers represented nearly a quarter of total sales. Compute and infrastructure expense made up 58% of total operating expenses, leaving the cost structure almost entirely a function of whoever sells Anthropic its compute.
