NVIDIA's Data Center segment generated $89.02 billion in Q2 2027 revenue, up 117% year over year, the overwhelming majority of the company's total. Revenue and adjusted EPS both beat expectations, extending a streak to five consecutive quarters above expectations.

The Blackwell Ultra architecture drove much of the acceleration, with hyperscale customers ramping deployments at a pace that more than doubled that segment's revenue year over year. Data Center Networking rose 138% year over year, signaling that the infrastructure buildout extends well beyond chips alone.

CEO Jensen Huang framed the moment in direct terms on the earnings call: "AI has reached its inflection point. It's doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue." He also pointed to a broadening customer base, noting that where one lab was driving the buildout a year ago, multiple frontier labs, a thriving open-model ecosystem, and physical AI are now all scaling in parallel.

Supply commitments have grown to $279 billion, largely tied to memory procurement for the Vera Rubin platform, which is already in full production at hyperscalers including Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. That backlog locks in a substantial portion of future revenue before a single unit ships.

For Q3, management guided to $108 billion in revenue, plus or minus 2%, with non-GAAP gross margins near 74%. That guidance explicitly excludes any Data Center compute revenue from China, where Hopper shipments represented less than 1% of Data Center revenue in Q2.
