Omnicom's adjusted diluted EPS of $2.73 for the third quarter of 2026 beat the consensus estimate, and revenue cleared expectations as well, with the year-over-year revenue jump reflecting the November 2025 close of the Interpublic Group acquisition that reshaped the company's scale.
Core Operations organic revenue growth accelerated to 7.2% in Q3, showing the headline revenue surge rests on commercial momentum as well as deal math.
The non-GAAP Adjusted EBITA margin from Core Operations expanded to 18.2%, driven in part by cost-reduction synergies from the IPG deal. Management confirmed the company remains on track for its full-year 2026 cost synergies, with CEO John Wren stating the integration is nearly complete and portfolio optimization substantially finished.
The company has now beaten or matched expectations in each of the three quarters since its Q3 2025 miss, with Q3 2026 representing the largest dollar beat in that stretch. Shareholders also received a declared dividend of $0.80 per share for the quarter, alongside continued share repurchases under the board authorization.
Risks worth monitoring include the roughly $10 billion in total debt taken on through the merger, ongoing exposure to currency fluctuations given revenue spread across the United States, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, and the challenge of managing AI-related technology investments at scale. A few remaining portfolio dispositions are expected in the near term as the integration wraps up.
