OP Bancorp reported Q2 2026 earnings per share of $0.53, clearing the Wall Street consensus of $0.445 by roughly 19%. The outperformance was driven by aggressive sales of SBA loans at premiums averaging 8.17%, which generated enough fee income to more than offset pressure on the bank's net interest margin. Net income jumped 26% year over year to $7.98 million, making it one of the community bank's strongest quarters on record.
Revenue also came in ahead of expectations, with total revenue reaching $25.72 million against an estimated $25.15 million — a beat of about 2%. The earnings trend over the past two years adds context: OPBK has now beaten the EPS consensus in six of the last eight quarters, with the lone meaningful miss coming in Q4 2025 when reported EPS of $0.47 fell just short of the $0.49 estimate. The magnitude of the Q2 2026 beat is the largest in that span.

Investors will likely focus on whether the SBA loan-sale strategy that powered this quarter is sustainable, and whether net interest margin can stabilize or recover as the rate environment evolves. The Q1 2026 result of $0.48 per share already showed momentum building, and Q2's $0.53 print extends that trajectory heading into the second half of 2026.
