The Concrete segment is finally paying: adjusted EBITDA margin there jumped to 10.8% from 1.8% a year ago on a mix shift toward data center and structural work, powering a beat on both lines. Backlog grew on two new Navy contract vehicle wins, and full-year guidance was reiterated.

Orion Group Holdings posted adjusted EPS of $0.12 for the third quarter of 2026, beating expectations, with both segments contributing and the Concrete business driving the story.

The Concrete segment's adjusted EBITDA margin jumped from 1.8% a year ago to 10.8% this quarter, which management attributed to a deliberate mix shift toward higher-margin data center and structural work. That pace of margin expansion is the clearest sign yet that the segment's repositioning is producing real financial results.

Company-wide adjusted EBITDA grew 37% to $17.92 million, with GAAP net income and operating income both rising year over year. The profitability improvement spanned the business rather than a single segment.

New awards of $179 million in the quarter pushed total backlog to $645 million, and two new U.S. Navy MACC contract vehicle wins now give Orion positions on five Navy vehicles. Those selections do not guarantee revenue, but they widen the federal opportunity set considerably.

Management reiterated full-year 2026 guidance for revenue of $900 million to $950 million, suggesting the company sees Q4 execution as the remaining variable rather than demand. CEO Travis Boone noted a $27 billion pipeline of project opportunities across defense, ports, and data center infrastructure.
