Fleets that deferred purchases during the 2025 downturn are now replacing aging equipment, and Paccar's Truck segment pretax profit jumped to $454.5 million in Q3 2026 from the same quarter a year ago. Global truck deliveries rose, led by U.S. and Canada volumes.

Revenue of $7.94 billion came in above consensus, and GAAP earnings per diluted share of $1.61 edged past estimates. Net income rose from the prior year, a gain CEO Preston Feight called out directly on the earnings call.

PACCAR Parts posted record quarterly revenues of $1.78 billion, and PACCAR Financial Services added revenue with what management described as steady finance margins and a benefiting used-truck market. Improvement spans all three reporting segments, not just new truck orders.

Management guided U.S. and Canada Class 8 retail sales to a range expanding in 2027, enough to keep Kenworth and Peterbilt factories busy well into next year. Planned capital expenditures support production capacity and ongoing development of battery-electric models including the DAF XD Electric and XF Electric.

Earnings bottomed in Q1 2025, when reported results missed estimates, then climbed steadily through 2025 and into 2026. The Q3 2026 result of $1.61 is the highest reported figure in at least the past eight quarters, evidence the cycle has turned.
