Park National posted adjusted diluted earnings of $3.37 per share for Q3 2026, beating expectations, with revenue also ahead of estimates. The headline to own is how much larger the bank has become.

The completed acquisition of First Citizens Bancshares reshaped the balance sheet, driving net interest income up 26.8% to $140.74 million. Margin, assets and loans all expanded alongside it.

GAAP net income rose 20.7% year over year to $56.93 million even after merger-related expenses tied to the deal. The efficiency ratio widened and nonperforming assets increased, a risk worth tracking as the combined institution works through its first full quarters together.

The board declared a regular quarterly dividend of $1.10 per share plus a special cash dividend of $1.30 per share, both payable December 10, 2026. Stacking a special payout on the regular one signals confidence in the balance sheet while the bank digests a transformative acquisition.

Park has beaten EPS estimates in each of the last eight periods, with the margin of outperformance generally widening as the First Citizens integration closed. The Q3 beat was the narrowest of that stretch, a sign analyst estimates have caught up to the larger Park National.
