Pfizer just marked a fresh 52-week high at $29.02, 1.58% above the peak it set on Aug. 25. Anyone anchored to the low-$23 range from a year ago is now looking at a very different reference point.

Pfizer's stock reached $29.02 on September 2, a new 52-week high that puts every buyer from the past year in a gain and removes a major source of selling pressure.
The shares have climbed more than $6 from their recent trough in the low-$22 range, shifting the question from damage control to whether the recovery has durable legs.

Holders who were waiting to break even have that option now, which can introduce near-term volatility around the new high even when the broader trend is positive. How the stock behaves in the sessions immediately following this breakout will be worth monitoring.
For longer-term investors, the relevant question is whether the fundamentals support a sustained move above $29. The prior high of August 25 now becomes the nearest meaningful support level to watch.
