Quantinuum's gross margin swung to 33.3% from negative 43.5% a year ago, the first hard evidence that the trapped-ion business can sell quantum access profitably. Management raised full-year revenue guidance to $31 million to $34 million, with both loss per share and revenue beating expectations.

Quantinuum reported Q3 2026 revenue of $9.05 million, beating the $8.07 million consensus estimate and rising 233% year over year. The adjusted loss per share of $0.29 beat expectations, signaling the company's commercial ramp is outpacing Wall Street's models.

GAAP gross margin reached 33.3% in the quarter, compared to negative 43.5% a year earlier. That is the clearest evidence yet that Quantinuum can generate profit on the quantum access it sells rather than only booking revenue while losing money on cost of goods.

Adoption of the Nexus platform grew nearly 20% quarter over quarter to 215 organizations, broadening the revenue mix beyond one-off contracts. Highlights in the period included the company's largest cloud agreement in its history, a multi-year extension with a global financial institution, as well as a new agreement with a top-five global pharmaceutical company focused on materials for cancer therapy.

On the technology side, Helios set back-to-back logical-fidelity world records, reaching 99.9995% in October with an error rate ten times lower than September's record. The Sol system remains on track for the second half of 2027, with integration and assembly targeted for Q1 2027 and a goal of 100 logical qubits at a logical error rate of 10 to the negative fifth.

Management raised full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $31 million to $34 million, up from the prior range of $28 million to $32 million. CEO Rajeeb Hazra cited the quarter's momentum directly, saying the accelerated results are giving the company more confidence than ever in the opportunity ahead. Management believes the commercial inflection is real and durable.

Investors should keep the risk picture in mind alongside the top-line progress. The adjusted EBITDA loss widened to $80 million from $45 million a year earlier, reflecting sharp increases in research and development, sales and marketing, and general and administrative expenses. Revenue also remains sensitive to the timing of individual large contracts, as the choppy quarterly trend from Q3 2025 through Q2 2026 illustrates.
