Well if it goes anything like SPCX, where all the other space stocks plummeted to fund it, I guess I should probably pull out all my AI stocks by then.

An Anthropic listing as soon as Nov. 16 means existing AI holders get sold to fund it, the same rotation traders blamed for the SpaceX debut. Pricing and roadshow terms are the next thing to watch.

Anthropic publicly filed its S-1 with the SEC, starting the regulatory clock on one of the largest IPOs in history. Under SEC rules, the earliest its shares can begin trading on the Nasdaq is Monday, Nov. 16.

SpaceX went from public filing to first trade in 23 days when it debuted in June. At that same speed, Anthropic would hit the market on Wednesday, Nov. 18, according to Yahoo Finance calculations.

Before any of that happens, Anthropic and its Wall Street bankers still have to complete an investor roadshow, set an offering price, and receive a final sign-off from regulators. Pricing and roadshow terms are the next concrete milestones to track.

The top concern in the r/stocks thread echoes the SpaceX playbook: when SPCX debuted, traders blamed it for pulling money out of other space stocks to fund the new position. The worry gaining the most traction is that existing AI stockholders face the same rotation pressure ahead of the Anthropic listing.
