Royal Gold's Q3 2026 results reflected the full weight of the Sandstorm Gold and Horizon Copper acquisition, which closed in October 2025. Revenue came in at $464.8 million, beating the $461.1 million consensus estimate and rising 84.4% from the year-ago quarter. Adjusted EPS of $2.80 edged past the $2.75 estimate.
Royal Gold erased the debt it took on to fund the deal far faster than planned. Management had $1.225 billion outstanding immediately after closing and originally expected to clear it within two years. The company repaid $250 million during Q3 and retired the remaining $150 million in October, leaving its revolving credit facility fully undrawn well ahead of schedule.
Several factors drove the revenue surge beyond the new asset contributions. Sandstorm and Horizon assets alone added $68.1 million, the Kansanshi gold stream contributed $30.8 million, and higher average realized commodity prices lifted returns across the portfolio. Gold, silver, and copper all averaged well above year-ago levels in the quarter. Record GEO sales of 109,000 and operating cash flow of $344.4 million, also described by management as a record, reflect how much the portfolio has grown.

Looking ahead, Royal Gold raised its 2026 other-metals sales guidance to $53 million to $56 million, up from the prior range of $34 million to $38 million. Management also indicated it expects silver and copper sales to be at or above the top end of their existing guidance ranges. Gold sales guidance of 290,000 to 320,000 ounces was left unchanged, as were the DD&A and effective tax rate ranges.
With the revolver fully undrawn and total liquidity of approximately $1.48 billion at quarter end, the company's balance sheet is now positioned to fund growth rather than service acquisition debt. A final $50 million payment tied to the Warintza gold stream and royalty is expected in Q4 2026. Development-stage projects including Hod Maden, Red Chris, and Fourmile remain on their stated timelines, giving investors several longer-dated catalysts to follow beyond the near-term commodity price environment.
