Seacor Marine's direct vessel profit margin more than doubled year over year to 33.1%, and this time without asset sale windfalls. A year ago, results were padded by disposition gains and an insurance settlement that did not recur.

The cleaner result still beat expectations on both lines, with revenue of $57.25 million topping consensus. Rising day rates and improved utilization drove that outperformance rather than one-off items.

The PSV segment led with 81% utilization, and Africa and Europe was the strongest geographic region. The Middle East and Asia region posted negative direct vessel profit as CEO John Gellert cited delays in construction and drilling projects creating a softening market there.

Two newbuild PSVs arrive in the coming months, and management says it is confident they will find charters. The board's strategic alternatives review, announced July 29, 2026, remains open with no set timetable and no assurance of a transaction. With $281.9 million in long-term debt, that review carries real financial weight.
