Management now expects lower GLP-1 volumes to hold 2027 growth to low single digits, despite a 13.8% revenue beat. Non-GLP-1 biologics revenue grew over 30% in the quarter, the backfill investors have to judge. Full-year 2026 guidance was maintained.

Stevanato Group beat Wall Street's revenue estimate in the third quarter of 2026, posting $364.9 million against expectations of $320.7 million, a gap wide enough to suggest the consensus had meaningfully underestimated the Italian pharmaceutical packaging maker heading into the report. Adjusted EPS of $0.179 also edged past the $0.1776 estimate, extending a streak of beats that stretches back through every quarter visible in the earnings history.

The quarter's most striking segment result came from non-GLP-1 biologics, where revenue grew over 30%. Other containment and delivery solutions, which includes bulk syringes and cartridges, rose 22%, while the Biopharmaceutical and Diagnostic Solutions segment posted 11% organic growth overall. That momentum helped absorb a weaker showing from High-Value Solutions, which grew just 1% to $167.2 million, and an Engineering segment that declined 12% on lower visual inspection and assembly and packaging sales.

Free cash flow improved sharply to $24.3 million, compared with just $335,693 in the prior-year period, as capital expenditures fell roughly 25% year over year. Adjusted EBITDA margin expanded 150 basis points to 27.2%, supported by improving performance at the Latina and Fishers plants and a more favorable portfolio mix, even as higher utility costs and depreciation from new facilities weighed on gross margin.

The number investors are likely to focus on sits in the 2027 signal rather than the quarterly results. CEO Franco Stevanato said the company now anticipates lower GLP-1 volumes and revenue than previously expected, constraining growth next year to a low-single-digit pace. His words: "We now anticipate lower volumes and revenue from GLP-1s than previously expected, which we believe will temporarily moderate growth in 2027." Full-year 2026 guidance was maintained, with revenue targeted at €1.260 billion to €1.280 billion and adjusted diluted EPS of €0.60 to €0.62.

The GLP-1 disclosure reframes the quarter: a 13.8% revenue beat bought Stevanato little goodwill if investors view the drug-delivery packaging boom tied to GLP-1 therapies as fading faster than anticipated. Management's argument rests on the 30%-plus growth in non-GLP-1 biologics as proof it can backfill the gap, and it cited the structurally strong demand for injectable biologics, biosimilar expansion, and the shift toward self-administered therapies as durable tailwinds. Whether that backfill is sufficient to satisfy shareholders will likely define how the stock trades in the months ahead.
